66 427/425 throttle return spring bracket paint

Re 66 427/425 throttle return spring bracket (the return spring bracket which is mounted off the intake manifold bolt) painted orange and if so - only on the outboard side because it was shot as a result of the overspray from the block painting process ?

I just dug up an old pic of a Bowtie car I used to own and the outside of the bracket is painted, and the inside is not.

pete: if the bracket is a repo, put it to the magnet test as originals will grab the magnet, unlike some of the repos done in stainless. judges look for it. good luck, mike

I agree with Everett. The bracket on my 66 still has about 50% of it's original paint. Probably completely covered on the outer side when new.
