Radio Side Panels

My last attempt to find answers to this question were not successful, so I thought I'd try again. Has anyone ever come across a mid year with radio side panels that do not fit? When I got my '64, the side panels were in the storage compartment (should have been my first clue). I went to reinstall them after replacing my heater core, and they don't fit. The bottom heater duct appears to be about 3/8" too far toward the passenger compartment. The seals do not appear to be the problem.


Anyone have any thoughts?

On my 65 the middle vert. console, left and right covers; Iguess that's what you mean by radio side pannels,don't fit very good either. I had to elongate the screw holes, fore and aft, to get them to fit. Bob
