    B-J Auction of bright blue/blue 65

Well, the B-J auction ended today, and I saw a nice 65 blue/blue roadster sell for 45k plus commission. Supposedly a top flight car. I thought that was a nice car for the money--and my favorite color combination too!

It will probably be back next year as a big block!

I really liked that car! Looked like a really nice driver. The kind of car you could just jump in and drive anywhere without worrying too much. Looked like B/C paint, repro KOs, and radials. Didn't really look like a top flight car though. Perhaps he drove it a long way to get it judged

Announcers said it was a second flight. The writing on the TV said Top flight. It was a nice driver for sure. But I seen a few things. Should have been a power antanna, stickers missing on valve cover, brake master lid should be black not gold . Mike

The graphic said it was "restored to NCRS top flight specifications", not that it was a top flighted car. The announcers clearly said "second flight". I was paying very close attention since I thought it would approximate the value of my car.

I was watching the auction and a question occured to me. How typical is it for a Top Flight car to also be a Performance Verification car? Just curious.

It's the magic of the BJ factor!
