I need to replace my rear wheel studs. Can this be done without taking apart the bearings and other parts?

Re: C2 rear wheel studs
It would be tough. However, if you can R&I your park brake shoes with the spindle in place, I think you can replace the studs. Some of the catalog vendors sell some sort of special tool that is supposed to allow you to R&I the shoes with the spindles in place. I've never tried this, and frankly don't see how to do it. If you can overcome this hurdle, I think you probably could replace the studs so long as they are not too long to go between the spindle and brake backing plate.- Top

Re: C2 rear wheel studs
I don't know how bad you wheel studs are, and this may not be pertaint to your problem, but we used to sell a wheel stud threader, It had like a threaded die that was cut in half. You put the halves on the thread that was bad up against the axel flange and it was sized so that a deep socket fit tight over it. You then backed the die off the stud with you deep socket. It worked real well, as usually the threads are bad towards the end. I have not seen a set of these in years. Dale- Top
