C1 neg battery strap

Can someone tell me how long the negetive battery strap/cable should be for a '59? Thanks. Pat

If you have it out

it would be a big help. I found a woven cable attached to this old 283 that has been kicking around here and it is 13-3/4" between the centers of the terminal holes. My '59 is in pieces and I don't have an old cable to compare it to. If it is the right size I will spend some time cleaning it up. Thanks Dave for the offer. Pat G.

The one I purchased from Eagle Products (part # EPBC-5561)for my '59 is 17" long (hole center-to-center) The lead clamp has a raised "N" about 1/4" high on the surface. The braiding is 1/2" wide. (as per the judging manual)

Pat, I have my original off of my 58'. From what point do you want me to measure from? It isn't in perfect shape but is decent.

Justin, the measurement between the center of the battery post clamp and the hole in the terminal at the other end. The cable I have is 13-3/4" wich seems a little short. Brad's is 17". Thank you. Pat G.

Along these lines, where should it attach? The strap on my '59 was attached to the rear exhaust manifold bolt. Is this correct?
