I need to replace the exhaust system in my 67 and was wondering if anyone could make a recommendation. I want a stock system that would be suitable for judging. It is a standard system, not sidepipes.

Re: 67 Exhaust Replacement
A couple of the suppliers, I think Corvette Central is one, will supply the pipes in the original, steel material as opposed to aluminized or stainless if you order it that way. Last time I checked, however, they will charge the same amount for them. I don't believe any suppliers that I'm aware of can make the pipes swedged (I think that's the term) where they change from 2" to 2 1/2") as original, but rather weld them.- Top

Re: 67 Exhaust Replacement
George,
I would contact Allen's Stainless Exhaust Systems. They make an excellent aluminized mild steel exhaust system that fits very well. I purchased and installed their high performance, welded 2-1/2" aluminized under car system on my '64 convertible. Cost was $350. It was judged last fall and did not receive a deduction, although it probably should have for originality since it was aluminized. I believe Corvette Central and Paragon also sell a nice replacement system. Allen's did not advertise in the last Driveline Magazine, but their phone number is (574) 722-7272 or www.allencorvetteexhaustsystems.com.
