I'm trying to identify an engine builder with modern machining capabilities in North or South Carolina. Have any of you had good first-hand experience with one?
The project is a '66 L72. I want to keep the appearance original (942 block, 858 heads, 827/8 exhausts, 069 intake, 3247 Holley), while updating and enhancing internal components. My plans include balancing, blueprinting, mild head work, stroker crank (nothing too wild), forged pistons (9.5 to 1, more if I thought I could get by on pump gas), roller cam, and roller rockers (if they'll fit under stock valve covers with an extra thick gasket).
Thanks in advance for your help.
