My '67 has hashed up side pipe covers, especially where the tires would throw dirt/rain/rocks/etc.: at the bend. Is a resto. possible on these covers ? Any known firms that do that resto. work ? Also, I have a missing fiberglass heat shield, now that we know 2 part epoxy will stick it on, any sources for these heat shields ??

Re: Sidepipe Resto / Heat Shields
I can't help you in your resto work, but I was viewing Motor Trend TV show and they were at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. One of the new things that they referred to in the show was the side exhaust for your Corvette. I don't know who is making it, but with 300 wheel manufacturers out there, mayby someone decided there is a market for the shield. I have always like this design of side exhaust and wondered how it was manufactured.- Top

Re: Sidepipe Resto / Heat Shields
Any number of Corvette specialty/restoration shops have 'piles' of tired out side pipe covers. If you were in Denver, I could find a 'beat up' cover to strip the heat shield from fast. Guess, I'd just call around your area and/or ask members of your local NCRS Chapter for a steer....- Top
