Would someone kindly clear up my confusion and list the years (models)of Corvettes according to the C1, C2, etc. designations. And, what does "mid-year" refer to??? Thanks.

The C1's are from 53-62, also sometimes refered to as "solid axles". C2's are 63-67, inclusive. These are the "midyears". C3's are 68-82's also known as "sharks". These are further divided into chrome bumper sharks (68-72) and soft nose sharks (73-82). The 73 can sort of go either way as it has a chrome rear and plastic front bumber. C4's are 84-96 (There was no '83) C5 referes to the current body style, 97-00
