And a 11000 serial number would be much later than that.

        Re: 1964 Trim Numbers

B06 is your build date, I'm not sure what month 1964 model production began, but probably a Fall 1963 (October 6th maybe)car. Someone else can probably help you there. 837 is the body style 837 = Coupe. A-051 is the body number...A means the car was an AO Smith body versus a St Louis build. 491C is a two-tone interior Silver vinyl with Gray trim. 940A is Satin Silver.
        How'd I do?

Oops I deciphered the trim code wrong...it should be two-toned white with black.

            Wayne,

of course, you are correct - but it just looked weird the way it was listed, and that is why I asked if something was missing

Could the B06 be for Feb 6. The 11565 Vin would be a Feb build date.

All '64's should have 6 digits after the "S", the first of which is always a "1". The "A" body number code stands for A.O. Smith. They did not start to build bodies until Jan '64. On their bodies "B" is February while "B" is October for St. Louis bodies. The digits after the "S" should be 111565.
