What are the proper nuts for the underside of the dash for the two screws that secure the wiper motor mounting bracket?

Larry, Don't recall they're anything special. 1/4 20 nuts with a flat and lock washer. They be a little hard to see anyway... -

The bolts I have, that I believe go with it, are not 1/4 20. They are phillips
head fine thread. I thought they might use the twist on nuts similar to the ones that hold the transmissions in place.

Larry, I'm with Dennis, I don't remember them being anything special. I would think they are a pan head Phillips screw. They are probably 1/4-20 X 3/4 or 1", as there is no reason for this applicaton the be fine thread. The 1/4-20 could have used a cut nut, but more likely a regular nut with washer. Have you looked in the AIM? There is probably a picture that might give a clue.Comment

Addendum
I found a picture of the assy in the 61 AIM. What it shows is the screw,then a lockwasher, screw through the plate and body, and a nut (no washer) on the bottom side. Don't forget that the right hand side also has the ground wire that attaches to the valve cover screw.Comment

Ok, I can't find it in th 60 AIM. That doesn't mean it's not there. I'll just use th 1/4 20s.

Larry,
CC has the complete mounting kit with bolts, nuts, washers etc. That's what I used when I reinstalled my wiper motor and motor mount plate with drum on my '58.
