1965 Parking light fiberglass clip

I replaced the left parking light clip on my 1965. The part was an original from a donor car, but I am not sure of the year. It was pointed out to me by another NCRS member that the right parking light had a small bump out on the inside in the grill area with a small hole. The replacement clip was smooth with no bump or hole. The person that pointed this out thought that the replacement part was correct for a 65 and that the light clip that I thought was original (right) had been replaced. All bonding strips were correct and the bonding seem on the right side seemed to be original. What year is the clip with the bump and hole and what year was the smooth? The 65 is an April car.

I am not sure that I understand what you are talking about when you say "clip", but it sounds like you are refering to the fiberglass parking light panel. If so, there is no bump on the `65 panel. The `63-`64 panel had the bump and hole to use in attaching the grille inner trim. In `65 this was changed. For `65 both the innerfender and the panel are sans the bump. However the General supplied replacement panels that would work for both, thus both replacement inner fenders and panels had the bump.

I guess I should have used the term panel. I was sure that the right fender had not been repaired. Who ever did the work did a very nice job. I will now repair this area.
