I have begun updating my Corvette archive. Just uploaded jpegs of the early and late 1953 Sales Brochures. Next are 1953 Press Release photos and lastly 1953 Advertisements. Sorry the quality of some of the jpegs, they suffers when they are resized from full size.

John Wayne's '53 is still alive and well in Reno. Some of the Harrah collection ended up at the National Automobile Museum in downtown Reno. Not too many sports cars are there, but Bill Harrah's daily driver he called the "Jerrari" is on display. It's a Jeep Wagoneer with a Ferrari engine.

doc what color C-6 did you get?

my is precision red,red interior,auto with 3.15 rear gear,see thru roof,polished wheels and the 1SB interior package with all the toys

You are absolutely right Art

That was my oversight. It's now done. I screwed one up and branded it twice. Branded it first on top but it wasn't easy to read, so I moved it or thought I moved it, but it was already dropped in place. MGI Photosuite 4.0 only has one level of "undo". It was too late.

What do you think?

You probably really don't want to know what I think, because I asked the question tongue in cheek. I felt that ANY advertising on GM's property that you have copies of was inappropriate, but I assumed it was put on there by you as a deterrent so someone couldn't reproduce GM's original property that you have access to and have chosen to post on the internet.

After being a GM employee for 37 years, 1 month, 3 days and 4 hours,(but who was counting) I tend to be sensitive to the defacing of GM property no matter who does it, as you would if someone did a similar thing to your property.
