    Professional carburetor rebuilders

My carb has a leak under the rear fuel bowl and it appears to be warped. It also has some, corrosion and needs some replating. I always restore things to original, any recommendations?

These guys below offer the service below, anyone use them or hear of experiences?

Classic Carburetors Domestic Carburetors  Performance Carburetors Custom Rebuilt Carburetors Has Rebuilt Their Wesbite. Restoration Services for your carburetor, or set of carburetors. Custom Rebuilt Carburetors is family owned and has been operating since

We offer a complete restoration service for your 1,2, or 4 barrel carburetor. We can restore your existing carb to show quality condition. All carburetors get completely disassembled and boiled out. Carbs then get stripped and redyed back to the original color. All base plates are line reamed and rebushed to eliminate lean idle miss. All new components are then used to reassemble the carburetor back to OEM standards and all necessary parts are replated and installed on the carb. The carburetor is then wet flow tested for air and fuel leaks. Pump, idle, and high speed circuits are then checked to assure you of a high quality restoration. We also offer a street restoration for your carb. If your car is not a show car but just a nice driver we can restore the carb without plating of the parts, all other aspects of the restoration are the same including redying and flow-testing.

    Try Bob Kunz

Jim, Bob did mine and did a great job. Good turn around time and great to work with. He runs your carb on a test engine before he sends it back. I put the carb on and all I did was ajust the idle. 314-845-2566, his ad in in Driveline also. Mike

Jim, I have used Bob Kunz as well as Jerry Luck many times. They both excel in there profession.Never had a problem with the workmanship. In fact the car I have now had its carbs restored in 1995.They perform as well now as they did then.No leaks , no issues. Lou

Jim, I have used Jerry Luck and Jerry MacNeish (http://www.z28camaro.com) to rebuild Holleys. Both did excellent work and I am very happy with the quality. However, both are S L O W and I would suggest that if you get yours in now you may get it back before Ole Man Winter is done having his way with us!

I've used Dick Katter for my 270 hp, '59 - 2x4's. He's located in Viginia (703-754-7547). Absolutely beautiful work. I went to Dick when no one else could deliver. Very competent, very good, very personable. Advertises in Hemmings.

Good luck. He's had my tripower carbs for over 20 months (April 03) w/ no earthly idea when I might get them. I hope you're patient.

                    Jim,

I trust Phil Cancilla ( @ Custom Rebuilt Carbs ) implicitly. He has restored
                    my 69 L/34 Rochester carb, my 69 L/78 Holley carb and my 69 L/71 tri-power
carbs. Beautiful workmanship, fair prices, very reasonable turn-around.

He is very honest. I highly recommend going through him for your carb
                    restoration needs.

                    Steve
