I recently removed the dash cluster on a 1967 with the speedwarning option. Before removal the buzzer stayed on all the time regardless of the position of the smaller needle.Obviously someone tried to repair this before(the screws holding the faceplate of the speedo are the wrong ones and everything was loose as well as the tachometer needle being bent). Any suggestions on where to find repair information and diagrams or should this be referred to an experienced shop(and who would you recommend)? I plan on replacing the tach mechanism as well as the ammeter which both function but not properly. Can you tell me where to get the plastic large lenses polished or replaced? Thank you in advance for your help!Kieran #11373

Re: Midyear Speedwarning lens polish
Kieran, I can't answer your questions on the electrical part. But I can tell you that I used polish for plastic/Lexan to clean up the plastic lens on my 67. They came out as if they were new. The stuff is available at good hardware stores or corvette suppliers. Use a soft rag or eye glass cleaning tissues. I don't know of any replacement plastic lens other than NOS stuff.- Top
