12V Ign. switched feed for Electric Choke - 68 SB

Just getting around to this, and need to hook up an ignition switched 12V lead for my electric choke in my 68.

Just put a new engine harness in this last year and do not want to screw anything up.

Someone previously recommended taking it from the ballast connection, but 68's do not have one of those.

I have an Edelbrock 1406 with the Elec. Choke by the way. What size wire should I use, and fuse size? (5 amp fuse OK?).

Thanks in advance for any guidance,

    Rich

the best place to get switched 12 volts is the trigger wire to the altenator. one wire has 12 volts all the time and the other goes off and on with the ignition.

The brown wires to the wiper motor and washer are also ignition-switched 12V.
