69 427/400 with A/C

my car still had the 3 under hood clips on it for the insulation pad above the radiator. so i ordered a repo pad from zip. it isnt symetrical and doesnt fill the entire area between the hood front lip and the dome for the 427 trim. does anyone have a pic they could send or describe to me whats the shape and size? another interesting find was a raised part number and date code on the back of the hood. numbers like 1 9 9 for jan 9th of 69.(my car is a july 69 build) and the a number like H 123457??. are these date codes and part numbers? ive never seen them before.

Dick, the insulation did not completely fill the area you are talking about. Also, usage of this was somewhat random, not on all cars. I do not know what Zip is selling for a repro, but the originals appeared to be the same color all the way through
