I just joined NCRS. The web page says it is a non profit. What is the structure? Is there a board of directors? Who? Who's the President? Is it democratic?

Re: NCRS structure
The entire staff and board of directors are listed on the first page of the RESTORER. You probably haven't received your first copy yet. President is Tim McKeon of California, a really nice guy. Welcome to the organization. Get involved in your local chapter if you can. You will make lots and lots of new friends.- Top

Re: NCRS structure
Structure is NPO corporation. Some BoD members are elected others are appointed (similar to any other corporation). Election process for Regional Representatives is via ballot in club publications. You'll see a map of the regions and you can vote for the representative of your choice. You can also drop your hat in the ring by gaining sufficient number of petition signatures per NCRS bylaw.
Chapters are semi-autonomous organizations. Most are separate corporations (some with NPO status). Tie is through NCRS bylaw and use of registered 'marks'. Chapters agree to terms of conduct established by NCRS National and are free to use NCRS 'marks' within established guidelines. Hope that's a reasonable lay of the land capsule....- Top
