1990 luggage rack

I have a 90 rag top and I want to put a luggage rack on it. I want one like the originals. My question is

1. Is the reproductions as good as the originals?
2. Whick ones are better?
3. Who has them?
4. Should I consider any others?

Luggage racks for C4s are "funny things". The individual components of the luggage rack system are available as regular SERVICE parts, although some pieces are now discontinued. The complete luggage rack is now and always was available only as a group 21 accessory item.

In any event, the complete luggage rack kit for your car is still available under GM #12341091. This is the current part number and it's the same as the part number which was specified in 1990. However, it may or may not be the same as the rack used in PRODUCTION; I do not know. Current GM list price is $84.50. As recently as 2 years ago this kit listed for $169.00, so it makes me wonder. Anyway, the GM kit would be my first choice absent any other information on the subject.
