63 FI Unit--Should it be early or late??

I am restoring an original 63 FI car # 2886, built 1st week of November 1962. The question I keep asking is, should the unit be an early or late model? Any ideas??

    Thanks--John

    Howdy John!

Look in the back of the 63 section of Nolen Adam's book. There you will find an appendix listing car serial numbers and the FI unit that went on it. From this you can get a good idea of what your unit number should be. Bill

You should be safe with a unit rangeing from #1435 through #3438. Which I'm sure is considered the non-early units.

John...my car is 3099 and I have the later version...not the early style one...

        Good luck!
