'67 F41Shocks

Were would I look to find a set of these shock? Front shock #3171488, rear #3171489. And if I Happen to find a used set, is there anyone out there that can rebuild shocks? Also, If I don't have any luck with finding these original shocks, is there a replacement that is OK with NCRS judging?

Occasionally F41 shocks, used and rarely sometimes new show up on e-bay auctions, usually under Collector cars and trucks. Type in Corvette and start scrolling thru the multitude of pages of parts.

Secondly, try Hemmings Motor News monthly issues, often they are advertised in there under Corvette parts, and there are vendors listed as to rebuilding shocks.

If you find a "genuine" set of shocks, be prepared for a home equity loan; otherwise, get a set of Delco replacements, paint them the correct color, apply the correct stickers, and take the hit for the "numbers". I'm not aware of anyone who rebuilds tubular shocks; the Hemmings ads for shock rebuilding are for old Armstrong or Houdaille friction or lever-action hydraulic shocks.

What is the correct color (still waiting for my Tech manual) and where can I get the stickers?

Shocks are a blue gray. Decals are available from the ususal vendors, Dr Rebuild, Joe Ray, Paragon, C Central, Keen, etc
