"...a "team" of judges who all have verying biases...." Here in your own words Eric, might be the 'HOLE' in the judging arena (Bloomington or NCRS events). Its those pesky biases that constitute flagrant disregard of the NCRS "Rules". And, if you believe for a second that judges, no matter how well intentioned or driven by a sense of integrity, are bias free....you are living in a fantasy land where the sky isn't blue. I think wayyyyy tooooo much emphasis is put on judging - the emphasis should be on the enjoyment of/and sensible preservation of the car not someone elses opinion. Maybe John has expressed a VERY VALID concern which is probably shared by quite a few of us out here. I hope he had a look at the judging code published by the NCRS or Bloomington events before subjecting himself to possible humiliation. I personally wished John and his wife had gone for the "Sport" and blown off the hallowed testosterone driven judging "pecking order" mentality. The fact that John was "Man" enough to put his concerns on this board means he is "GROWN UP" and aired some concerns that some of us haven't been "GROWN UP ENOUGH" to openly express. I applaud his honesty, but not his decision to leave us.

I AGREE, anyone who waited six months to prevent an over emotional response displayed remarkable restraint, especially considering the cars involved. A 62 anything and a Lt! regardless of year represent a sizable investment and John was obviously involved in the NCRS before his purchases, hardly an ill informad buyer and at least better than most first timers. I think he took the lumps , deserved or not, with a lot of CLASS.
