    Bolt on Center caps

I recently purchased 4 NOS center caps for my K-H bolt on wheels and they came in original GM boxes with the proper part number on the box and caps.

I was puzzled when I opened them and found the end crome cap with the 3 cut outs were not all red as expected, instead one cut out was red, one was white and the other was blue. These were never on a car and all the clips and hardware is correct.

Anyone ever heard of GM bolt on center caps having red, white, and blue instead of all 3 cut outs being red?

    Thanks for your help.

This sounds familiar. I believe that I've seen RWB center caps. Original?

These came in original GM boxes witht the correct part #'s on them. However, the wharehouse inventory card has a 1978 revision mark on the card that is glued to the box. Dosent mean the caps were made then just that they were inventoried sometime after 1978 in the warehouse. Its a possible clue.

      Thanks,

      Rick

PS The RW&B look real nice but I changes to red NOS caps for now.

I have a couple (P/N 3910731) in their original boxes, (boxes dated 1975), and they're all red; haven't seen any RWB.

Check this cap out. I have all 4 in original boxes.

Have you ever seen one like this before??
