Dealer Invoices found?

Anybody hear about this? A thread in the C3 section on the Corvette Forum entitled "The ultimate 77-present Corvette Xmas Gift!!" has details about how to obtain this info on post 1977 Corvettes & the possibility of getting records older that that...although the 1-800 number does not apper to be correct..Heres the link:

Very interesting thread. It certainly will make some 'vette owners happy!

I'll be anxiously awaiting for someone to test the waters on an older model....say 1968 thru 1972.

The interesting thing to me is that it is free. Wonder how long it will be before they realize that all other divisions are charging as much as $50 for the that information?

I tried to call the 1-800 851 8984 and also got the Non G.M. recording. I left a return number on the voice mail and have not received a reply. Dale

Just spoke to someone very nice at that phone number and they don't have any information on Corvette's prior 1977. Still missing in action!!!!!!!

Hi all!

Sorry if the 1-800 number is not working for some of you. It has worked for others for some reason. I did not use the number when I requested my invoice, I emailed Peggy directly. Two weeks later I had the invoice in my hand. Please keep me posted on your success with acquiring your invoice & I apologize I did not get the message posted here until today. Thank you Tony for posting the link to the Corvette Forum here!!!

The number works and you want the Media Archive Researc choice. The original message sounds like a different company, but when you get Peggy Besem's ( spelling ?) voice mail it mentions GM.

I just talked with Peggy Vezina from GM who says that older than 1977 do not exist she referred me to the GM Heritage Center 6400 Center Parkway in Sterling Heights Michigan 48312 for a packet on the year corvette, not a specific VIN number.

The pre-777 records don't exist.
