    '66 Shifter Trim Panel P/N?

    Hello Everyone:

Earlier today I replaced the rubber boot around the 4-speed shifter. I noticed that the trim panel on my car that surrounds the shifter is p/n 3860149

The '66 AIM states 3860147 for vinyl and 3860148 for leather.

What is p/n 3860149 for, that I have?

As usual, thanking everyone in advanced.

    Best regards,
    Kurt Neiman

If you are talking about the large die-cast part that extends up past the covers on the sides of the center dash area and back to the armrest, it does not change part number with trim material, only color, and any number you see on it will be the casting number of the base part, rather than the finished part number.

      Bill:

That is the part I was making reference to. Thank you for the Clarification.
