I recently purchased a set of five 15x5 wheels for my 61. They were advertised as original corvette wheels. No mention was made of Kelsey Hayes. They appear to be correct in every way as per the judging manual and Nolands vol 1 and the many posts I found in the archives. These wheels do not have any part number or Kelsey Hayes logo, or date code. Did any corvette come equipped with welded wheels that did not have any identifying markings?

Re: C1-welded 15x5 wheels
Dennis, I don't know how to post a picture here on the forum, but I can send them to you by e-mail. When I inquired further about the wheels, I was told they were manufactured by Norris Technologies a back up supplier to Kelsey Hayes, and that they are GM original porducts. Can you or anyone else shed any light on what these wheels are? Thanks- Top

Re: C1-welded 15x5 wheels
I agree with Roy. I have had many sets of Corvette wheels with the nubs on them and GM marking on the spider, which were not KH wheels. I would guess that about 30% of the wheels that I have had pass through my hands were not Kelsey Hayes wheels. In any event the point is really moot for judging, since the marks are on the inside of the rim.

Re: C1-welded 15x5 wheels
NCRS and many people for get that many parts were supplied to GM by more then one company. Delco, trico, K.H and other also subbed out parts to them self to insure that they met GM demands. That is the reason some parts have different LOGO's on the same part , (which indicates which subbed company supplied the original company that GM contracted ). I don't think NCRS judges LOGO's if that's what were talking about. If so they would have to indicate each suppliers NAME based on their company LOGO. Is this making any seance to any one?- Top
