    P02 HUB CAP RESTORATION

Does anyone restore the P02 hub caps used on C-3s. I know you can disassemble the cap to respray the semi-flat black and replace the center cap, but can the stainless rim be restored if there are dings and curb rash?
    Thanks, Jim #42765

Jim the problem with restoring the stainless is at the outer edge of the cover the stainless is rolled over the inner support. To blend out the damage would mean disassembly and with stainless is near impossable to do. The best that can be done is to have a metal polisher file and puff out the dings but he has to be careful not to make the stainless to thin. Good luck Paul 18046

I collect all the PO2s I can find for just that problem. You will find a good one now and then untill you have 4 with nice stainless.

If you can find 1970 Buick Riviera caps, they are exactly the same except for the center plastic.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll be looking for good Riv rims now too.
