    Cad plating

After Chuck S. posted Caswell's web site(thank you very much), I ordered there catalog. It was sort of like Eastwoods, "I want one of everything". Has any one used there products for cad and plastic plating etc...? And what kind of success did you have with them.

    Re: Cad plating

I just bought their "copy cad" kit. It is actualy a zinc plate that is quite dull and looks like cad plating. I am happy with it for plating small parts. It is a little slow and tedius. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to plate a part. You can do several small parts at one time. For larger part you will want a bigger power supply than what they give you with it.

I would not recommend it for plating everything on a car. Send out everything that you can. I am using it for small parts that I neglected to send out with the main batch of parts and some new parts that are bare steel.
