Of Birthday Books And Pull Dates

If someone out there in television land has a "Birthday Book", can you please tell me the range of VIN's (last 6 digits) built on May 18,1965. and May 19,1965.

Once I have this vital info., I then have to determine when the frame was "pulled" from inventory. Was it generally on the final assembly date? The day before?? The week before??? The month before????

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    May 18th 17747 to 17858. May 19th 17859 to 17970.

I know NOTHING about mid years BUT I would think the frame would be pulled when the chassis line received the broadcast sheet, the same day of manufacture of the Corvette. I don't know how long it took to build a mid year so if time to completion wasn't available in the day then the frame would have been pulled the day before final assembly date.

    Dale.

      From the "Birthday Book"...

The 18 May numbers range from 17747 thru 17858 and the 19 May numbers range from 17859 thru 17970. Hope this helps. Jack

You agree with me! That is to day that we agree with each other. Looks like we both read the same numbers and managed to get them posted!

Re: Of Birthday Books And Pull Dates

Joe, I just finished researching the frame dates as I am just finishing the chassis on my 65. Mine was 17731 which put it on the end of the shift on the 17Th. From what I was able to determine the pull date for the frame should be about two to three days prior to assembly date. Hope this helps. Sheldon
