Anybody seen the repop 63 steering wheels?

I'm told that 63 reproduction steering wheels are availible now. Has anyone seen them and where can a cheapstate like me get the best deal on one??

Every once and a while on ebay I have seen CORRECT ones show up. Also look in the NCRS Drivetrain, saw a couple posted a couple of months ago....goot luck

I received a catalog recently from Mid America which showed 63 repo steering wheels. I think they were around $450 if my memory is correct.

This means that some where out there they can be bought for around $250.

I've been watching eBay for a long time but a nice late model black wheel hasn't exposed itself under my watch. I have a nice early black wheel, but the machine marks on the spokes are circular. I need the straight ones.

tracy: pick up a crappy 64 to 66 wheel with radial machine marks(100 bucks or less at carlisle would be reasonable) then send it to Garys steering wheel restoration and have him restore it the 63 color you need. i'm pretty sure he can do it but you might call him before buying the 64 to 66 wheel.i just remembered that i have a 66 wheel that was in a fire with plastic gone from fire but stainless would buff up nicely. you can have it on the house if Gary can restore it for you. mike

Mike this sounds like a heck of a opportunity but as much junk as I've put on you I'd need to return the favor somehow someway to feel right about it.

Is Gary in the driveline or do you have his contact info otherwise?
