U-Joint C3 Lubrication

I noticed that my driveshaft has 4 grease fittings on the U joints. It doesnt say anything in the service manual about lubing these joints. Common sense says if there is a fitting to install the grease. Any actual knoweledge is appreciated. Thanks Dan

The original u-joints on your Corvette did not have grease fittings and were not intended to be greased in service. That's why there's no mention in the service manuals. Yours are service replacements installed by a previous owner. Grease them the same as any other car, nothing special.

I recommend that you VERY CAREFULLY grease the fittings. I learned the hard way that if you inject much grease it doesn't squirt out immediately, and will fling out over time all over the bottom of your car. Also, attempt to wipe off excess after greasing and once again after about a week of driving.
