    C1 1959 rear strut rod

    Trying to install rear strut rod and it appears the rod isn't long enough to reach the frame bracket and the axle tube bracket. It appears that the rod needs to be about 1/2 inch to 1 inch longer in order to bolt to both brackets. Compared new strut rod to original strut rod and both are same length. Anyone have any idea how to bolt this strut rod on?

      Has the axle twisted or moved?

          This is a frame off restoration, I just put the rear leaf springs and axle on.
