    Fuel pump

    Hi all,

Can someone have a look in the GM parts book to find out the application of a 4661 fuel pump. It has the same AC characters on the top but the fuel lines are on the wrong site (if compared to the correct one for a '59 Vette).

Which car did have this kind of fuel pump originally mounted ?

    thanks,
    Rob.

Original part number for that pump was 5594661, Service number 4430 or 4709. Applications include Chev pass car 1958 with 283 (only).

        Re: Fuel pump

About 4 or 5 of those fuel pumps from the 50s and 60s can be made interchangeable. Take the 10 or so cap screws out and rotate the bottom to put the inlet and outlet where you want it. Not sure, but I believe the 4656, the 4657, the 4661, and a few others can be made to interchange that way.
