I have a 67 435 rodster I am going to take out of storage and sell, tires on it now are very old G70/15 radials, would it help on the sale of car if I put on redline tires---radials or bias ply??? This is a very original car with only few things not matching, ie water pump, starter etc. Thanks for your opinions on this

Depends on how you sell it
If you are putting it in a photo style ad, the redlines will make it look better, assuming it doesn't look like junk from sitting in storage for a long time, based on the G70-15 tires.
Then again, you will get a different breed of buyers who observe the old G70 tires and realize it is a find in a car coming out of storage for a long time.
If the rest of the car looks really good, or will with a bath and a wax, then the redlines may help sell. Otherwise, they are just money you are throwing away.- Top

Re: Depends on how you sell it
------- How about looking for a cheap used set. They pop up quite frequently.
------- In the overall scheme of things I think you will get more money back by putting on the redlines than you will pay for the redlines. It will also give the appearance that you care about the car..............Bill S- Top

Re: Depends on how you sell it-clarification
Car is in a restored condition except I painted things like driveshaft and halfshafts to prevent rust. Storage meant not driven in many years but new engine rebuild puts engine in new condition. Sorry for not stating more clearly. thanks.Michael
