    On the area above one of the prongs at the bottom of the horn relay is the letters BAT, what does this stand for?

    Battery....

    it's identifying the main power input lead for the horn relay, John. Ground was typically achieved through the mounting tab (depends on year/model) and the cover is embossed in a dual pattern with 'S' and 'H' identifying the functions of the terminal posts directly beneath the cover (switch and horn) regardless of the orientation of the cover to relay body assy.
