    C2 Spare Tire Lock

Is the key associated with the lock keyed the same as any of the other locks?

    Thanks,

    Mark

I believe the spare tire lock is the same key as the glove box, at least it is on my '66.

Mark, in a 63, one key does it all.

Mark - What year is the car? '63-'64 one key fits all. '65-'67 it's the same the glovebox key. Pete

            Peter,

Not sure about this but wasn't 66 the 1st year for the different key for I.P. compartment and spare tire lock? I thought all 63-65 had the single key system but can't remember for sure.

Michael - I recheck the '65 Judging Manual and '65s should have the two different headed keys. I have some other information in my key stuff that mentions that in 1965 GM introduced the two different keys on the Cadillac and Corvette and then in 1966 on all GM cars. Pete

Thanks Peter. Jack Humphrey emailed and said it was indeed 65. I couldn't remember for sure.
