    67 turn signal unit

Any one know where I can get a turn signal assy . for a 67 non-tele ? Mine broke at the flasher push-pull and the right turn wont hold. The plastic got old . Or any one have a used good one? Thanks
Also has any one added Vintage Air? I have a 4 speed 327-350hp and to keep the engine running at idle it must tack 1100 if I'm using the air , but then when I'm not using it I like having it to idle at 800 .Has any one used a added cable to increase the rpm only when using the Air?

Roy, there is a repo on the market for the 67/68 ts switch. I think any of the usual vendors will carry it. There is a Delco replacement on the market that I advise against using. I had to put one on my 67 a few years ago when the repo wasn't available and it requires some extra screw holes. Also, the fitting for the flasher button doesn't line up with the hole in the bell. Get the repo.

      Vintage Air

      Roy,
I put on a Vintage Air Kit on my 67 327/300 earlier this year, and have not had any problems with the idle or with overheating. I just set the idle up a little bit and I went to a higher output alternator. You might try a tuneup and set your timing as if it was factory air.

The down side of the vintage air system is that you lose the fresh air intake and modulation with fresh air on the heating cycle. I wish they would come up with a system where they use the passenger side vent as the fresh air intake to both the heating and cooling cycle as the factory air cars did.

Last may, I was in need of the same switch. I called all the usual vendors and none were available. I did find a NOS unit from Obsolete Chevrolet Parts Co (obschevy.com)800-248-8785. Fit perfect and was only $52.45 with shipping. Kurt

          Roy -

Shee-Mar (www.shee-mar.com), (303) 678-5334, has the exact turn signal switch you need, including the correctly-colored wires and connector. Holley makes an adjustable solenoid and bracket kit you can adapt to any Holley to kick up the idle when the compressor kicks in.
