1957 Radiator date

I have 56M dated radiator. I have friend that says he wants to buy it for his '57. I told him that I thought the December date on the radiator was too far removed from July 1957, the build date of his car, to be correct. Is my assumption correct? Thanks

December is a month outside the six-month allowable "window" for his car.
