My 1971 LT1 after about 15 minutes of running will stall and die. Brief history, couple of weeks ago I removed the carb to clean my intake manifold (aluminum). Cannot find any intake leaks and the car runs find otherwise. I checked the float level and have the adjusting nut turned furthest counterclockwise which should raisde the fuel level and still get no fuel to the threads. The carb is a Holley. Thanks for the help.

Check fuel pump for volume and pressure, check filter in the carb inlet, check for fuel in the tank (first)Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: Car Stalls
Frank,
Could be a sticking needle/seat. Next time it quits take the air cleaner off and take the handle end of a screwdriver and give a rap on top of the primary needle/seat adjusting nut. This will cause the float to drop down and allow gas to fill the bowl when you try starting the car.

Re: Car Stalls
Aah Wayne. The good old days of mechanicing. Simple repairs, match book cover to set points, timing by ear. Reading the spark plugs to get the mixture right. Now if your new car stalls, you call the tow truck and get out several "dead presidents and ambasadors" to pay for repairs. Can you imagine in 25 years what the questions and answers on this board will be like.Dick Whittington- Top

Re: Also.......
Frank,
If you have no gas in the rear bowl you have a sticking needle seat in the carb or a plugged fuel filter. At any rate, you need a good carb man to check out the carb and fuel filter.
Going with Wayne on his first guess.
