C1: how many keys??

I recently received an inquiry from someone doing research on the 1959 Corvette, and wondered if anyone here could help..

The person was trying to find out how many keys were provided in total to a new 1959 Corvette owner. Please provide a breakdown if you know (ie one for the doors and trunk, one for the ignition, one for the glove box, etc), and if there were duplicates of the same keys (ie a pair of matching keys provided) given, please include them in the breakdown. Thanks!

Jim - Up thru 1964 Chevrolet Corvettes came with 2 octagon headed Briggs & Stratton/GM keys. The keys were duplicates and fit all the locks. The two different keys for a total of 4 keys, 2 octagon headed and 2 round or clover leaf headed keys, were introduced for the Corvette and Cadillacs in '65 and for all GM cars in '66 and that configuration head keys went thru '68 production. The large headed retangular head and oval head keys were introduced with the '69 production for the Corvette and all GM cars. Pete
