NEW TO THIS GAME-LOOKING AT 54 ON WEDNESDAY-LONG TERM STORAGE VEHICLE-SUPPOSEDLY ALL ORIGINAL-WHAT ARE THE MAJOR AREAS I SHOULD BE LOOKING AT, EXAMPLE RUSTED CHASSIS. ALSO ANY NAME(S) OF MAJOR SUPPLIERS FOR 54'S. ANY ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Look for the "normal" stuff. Frame rust, body damage, etc. Does it run? Is it the original motor/powerglide? Original 241 cylinder head? How many of the original items are there, i.e., side curtains, soft top frame, hubcaps, etc. Just those 3 items can be very expensive....thousands each. Are you looking for a project, a driver, or a "show car"? Many suppliers still out there...Mary Jo Rohner, Werner Grossmueller, Jack Reeves, Carl Morrow, Ron Jones, Bart Pevey, to name a few. Also, many of the "normal" vendors carry some 53-55 items. Post the VIN, engine #'s etc. Hope this helps. Chuck
