The screw-type fuel pumps are pretty easy to rebuild. Rebuild kits are readily available from suppliers like Dr. Rebuild and others. Otherwise, I'm sure that there are many folks that could rebuild one for you. Perhaps someone who does so and frequents this board might e-mail you.
The crimped type fuel pumps used for all C2 big blocks and later C2 small blocks are not really rebuildable. Some of the commercial rebuilders used to do it, but I don't think that it's done anymore. NEW fuel pumps are so readily available and inexpensive that, I suppose, it really doesn't make sense for folks to get involved in rebuilding these things. The VAST, VAST majority of folks that need fuel pumps don't care about nuances of original configuration.
Notwithstanding the fact that there still may be a few folks somewhere that rebuild the crimped type fuel pumps, I'd never use one. The fuel pump is an important SAFETY-RELATED item. I have no interest in using a rebuild of a component that was never designed to be rebuilt for such an application. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Fuel pump
Thanks Joe for the reply. My 64,365HP has the screw type which I know I could probably rebuild. I was just looking for someone who could?? restore the exterior of the pump to perhaps NCRS standards should I decide in my body-off restoration, to go that route. I would welcome any and all suggestions to accomplish this objective. Thanks again!- Top
