    Midyear Rear Adjustment Cam Bolt

The Judging Manual states that the rear adjustment cam bolt is plated "black phosphate". Before I send my pretty zinc plated ones out to be plated black, were they originally phosphate? Thanks

      Black Phosphate for some years

      Larry,

I believe the finish depends on which midyear you're talking about. For 66, my judging manual says black phosphate. Are you actually going to have yours plated black phosphate as opposed to the more readily available black oxide?

My car is an "early" 1963. Where I live the local plating company plates phosphate, cad, oxide, or zinc. They have no minimum so it's just my choice!
