    C1 oil leak

    Almost back together 62. New Paragon repro oil filter can drips oil from around bolt (engine not running). Copper gasket is in place and it is torqued to proper spec. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

      remove the canister and its attaching bolt and check canister for rough edges where copper washer makes contact. if the can and the copper flat washer are smooth, don't know wwhat to say except send it back to paragon.mike

          John, I had this same problem with my 59 I don't remember where I got the filter canister but it would drip while the engine was running or shut down. I tightened the bolt until it was snug and then turned it back and forth several times until it seated. It has not leaked any more. Jimmy
