vette modification

i'm interested in purchasing an early 90s vette to modify and need some guidance. looking to up the hp to 650+ w/an automatic. car needs to be set up for prostreet, mainly highway driving. not sure on the rearend, may 370 or so. need cost estimates to get the hp needed. thanks. john.

with 650+ HP you will need a ford 9" rear unless you like working on IRS.

was told by high ranking corvette engineer that the c-4 rears were designed for up to 450 hp max. 650 will trash the irs. mike
