How do I tell which part of my power antenna wo/cb is bad? Is is stuck in the upright position.

Can I rebuild myself?

I think you can buy the parts and pieces but you are probably ahead to buy one already rebuilt. Unless you are a contortionist you will have to take the muffler and tail pipe loose to get at the darn thing

I went through trying to find a replacement power antenna for an 82 Collector Edition for several years with no luck. During this time I found out that Paragon has a rebuild kit for the nylon cable that usually breaks. It is also very inexpensive compared to sending it out for a rebuild. Sounds like this may be your problem. Try the Tech line at Paragon for advice on how to pinpoint your problem.
