Thought I posted this last week but must have done something wrong. Looking at some judging sheets that came with my '65 396 Coupe, I noticed some points were deducted for play in the window and vent cranks. Are the parts available to repair this or can it be adjusted internally? Is there any way I can find the proper way to remove and reinstall the door panel? thanks

Re: Window regulators
There is no adjustment for these regulators. They can be rebuilt. See the Driveline for advertisers who perform this service. Some of the vendors offer rebuilt or NOS regulgtors outright, but they are very expensive. If you can find a junkyard with some mid 60's GM cars, you may be able to get what you need. Most of the regulators are basicly the same design, but the shaft the crank handle attaches to may be a different length. If you go the salvage route you may want to take your original with you.- Top

Re: Window regulators
I had both of my vent window regulators rebuilt by Dennis. He advertises in the Driveline (618) 398-7829 call after 6:00pm He is in Ill.member # 24635. He charged me $55.00 each and I am very satisfied with the results. He was also able to switch shafts and come up with missing parts. Sorry he is still in the dark ages, no e-mail address. turn around time was aprox a week.
Good luck, Bruce- Top
