How to get wax out of textured door jams, etc?

When you open the doors on my '81, there are a few areas in the door jam that are painted but have a rough surface. The previous owner must have waxed these areas, as there is a bunch of wax build up in the crevices of the texture. The white wax looks pretty bad on a black car. What is the easiest way to get the wax out of these crevices? Thanks!

Try some soap and water along with a soft brush (like a tooth brush) and some patience.......

I think a gentle degreaser like 'Simple Green', which effectively removes wax from soft trim etc, used with a the a/m toothbrush, would work.

I'd use 3M Wax & Grease Remover with a tooth brush.

Prep-Sol from your automotive paint supply house

will work. Or you might try common Mineral Spirts followed by hot soapy water to remove any remaining oily residue.

          good luck,
