What determines the soft top color on a C2?

I saw several convertibles at Carlisle which made me think about softtop colors. Two C2's, both Red but one with a black interior and the other with a saddle.
The one with the saddle interior had a Blk top and the black interior car had a saddle top.
How do you tell what is correct or are both? Does the interior or exterior tag indentification number tell you?

Color of soft top was a 'buyers choice' issue with selection made at time of order from the then current option list....

First of all saddle was not offered with red. Leather or vinyl. Second the top color was buyer choice.
