    Re: Back cover W/Grady Davis

    Help -

I know I remember a picture of Grady Davis sitting in a 1961 on the, I believe, inside back cover of the Restorer Magazine but I cannot find it. Can anyone help me reference this issue?

I'm not sure any single answer...

...will deal with both of these issues, but, what do I know ???

The carb pad on the Performer is lower than the pad on the Performer RPM, so it should clear; the Edelbrock website has all the height dimensions for all their intakes, specifically so you can compare pad heights to determine clearances.

Edelbrock told me 2 years ago they would guarantee the Performer would fit on my 71 (didn't install it though) so I suspect it would fit under this car without a problem as there is more clearance.

For a more "factory correct" appearance consider using the Edelbrock Performer Q-jet, and paint the intake orange. No one will be the wiser.

Of course, if it were me, I'd find an aluminum intake from a Corvette a couple of years later and install it, but...
